Rulon® and Meldin® Materials for Electronics
Meldin® and Rulon® materials can be found in a wide variety of electronic devices and in equipment used to manufacture electronic components.
Integral parts made from Meldin materials are particularly well-suited for the harsh environments commonly found during the operation of electronic component manufacturing equipment used for processes such as LCD sputtering, PV thin film sputtering, plasma etching, and Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PECVD). The Meldin 7001 grade is ideal for these types of applications due to its outstanding dielectric properties, high purity, low outgassing, strong chemical compatibility, and high temperature resistance properties. Equipment component applications include lift pins, lift pin holders, clamp rings, screws, chamber liners, glass panel guides and rollers, bearings, and electrode bushings.
Rulon materials lend themselves well for insulative components, and Saint-Gobain can formulate compounds to be tailored for specific applications.
